Michael Sugarman

Biography

Michael Sugarman is a research fellow and the director of media at the Initiative for Digital Public Infrastructure in CICS. In addition to producing the lab's podcast Reimagining the Internet, he helps faculty, staff, and students in the lab translate their research and projects to the general public via blogs posts and video tailored to be shared widely. His own research focuses on how music communities gather online, and how the next generation of social media could be a safe place for small communities to gather, governed according to their own needs.
