Adam Benvie is a UMass Amherst alumnus working as a Sr. Product Manager at IBM Watson (Customer Care Integrations: CRM, Search, Chat, Messaging). He'll be talking about his experience at UMass Amherst as a student and how that might have prepared him (or maybe not) to go into the product field. He'll also be discussing how to break into product management as a college student and learn the necessary skills to develop as a PM.
The ACM Product Management Club meets weekly on Wednesday nights to discuss trends in technology, conduct product thinking seminars, work on case studies, read books, and occasionally prep together for PM recruitment. All UMass Amherst undergrad/grad students and faculty interested in learning more about product management concepts are welcome!
