Title: Intro to Dictionaries - Teaching Presentation

Abstract: Now that you have mastered lists, you might be geared up to do some powerful data handling in Python with them-- but wait, that's not all! Introducing Dictionaries. In this teaching presentation, we will learn about containers in Python, and focus on a new container-- the dictionary. Learn how to create dictionaries and access data within them. By the end of today's class, you will be able to use these dictionaries for problem-solving in Python.

Bio: Rush is a Ph.D. candidate in Computing at the University of Utah Kahlert School of Computing. He describes his research as science for stories and currently is working on narrative generation techniques. Rush has been teaching in a university setting since 2015, where he started out running study groups for his Discrete Structures class. Currently, Rush is serving as instructor for an introductory Python course for non-majors at the University of Utah. Rush completed his BS in Computer Science at Rutgers University.
