Speaker: Brian Levine

The Scholarship for Service (SFS) program, funded by the National Science Foundation, provides scholarships to current Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences undergraduate and graduate students who expect to graduate within two to four semesters (starting from Fall 2022). Each year, the scholarship pays for tuition and fees, as well as an academic year stipend of $25,000 for undergraduate students and $34,000 for graduate students, and it includes a $6,000 fund for books and a computer. Students must obtain an internship at a federal agency during the summers, and after graduation, students must obtain and full-time job focused on security at a federal agency (with full pay and benefits) for a period equivalent to the length of their scholarship. Federal law requires that scholarship recipients be US citizens.

During this event, I'll explain more details about the scholarship benefits and requirements, as well as the application and selection process. The event is open to all students -- please attend the event even if you are a first-year undergraduate to prepare yourself for next year's application process. Some details ahead of the event are listed here.
