Construction Impact and Service Interruption Notices

As construction of the new CICS building progresses, the building committee will be emailing college faculty, staff, and graduate students with notices about planned construction impacts and service interruptions. Please take note of the following upcoming construction impacts.

Saturday, March 9 - North Entrance to CS Building closed

Work on new sewer lines on the north side of the CS Building require the north entrance/exit to the CS Building to be closed tomorrow, Saturday, March 9.  The south and west entrances will be available.


March 11 to March 15 - Temporary Walkway for North Entrance of CS Building

A temporary walkway will be constructed for use starting March 11 through March 15 to allow access to the north entrance of the CS Building.  Signs will direct pedestrians to it for use.  This walkway will be put in place to allow for prep work required to install a new building emergency generator. 


Looking forward to Spring Break – Governors Drive and Lot 31 – March 15 to March 22

Over spring break, Governors Drive will be limited to one lane of traffic with two police details directing traffic for the construction of storm drain pipes across the road. Details below:

• Starting Friday, March 15, a small portion of Lot 31 and metered parking spaces will be used to stage equipment and materials for this project. 

• Monday, March 18 through Friday, March 22 drainpipes will be installed along Governors Drive.  One lane of traffic availability will be maintained during this time.
