Graduate assistantships are not available to Manning CICS; however, MS students can seek part-time employment opportunities across campus.
Financial Aid
Students interested in federal financial aid must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Include federal school code 002221 under “School Selection.” UMass Amherst offers additional financial support information, including instructions on how to apply for a Graduate PLUS loan, through the Financial Aid Office.
Student Benefit Health Plan (SHBP)
Massachusetts requires on-campus college students to have comprehensive health insurance. Students taking five or more credits are automatically enrolled in the individual SHBP each semester and charged on the semester's tuition bill. If you plan to use private health insurance instead of the SHBP, you must waive the SHBP by the add/drop deadline.
