Dean's Lecture Series
About
The Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences (CICS) Dean’s Lecture Series brings leading voices from academia, journalism, industry, public service, and beyond to UMass Amherst for thought-provoking conversations about computing and its role in the world around us.
Through lectures and conversations with distinguished thinkers and practitioners, the series explores the ideas, questions, and challenges shaping our increasingly technological society—from emerging advances in computing to their broader social, economic, and cultural implications. These events invite the CICS community and the public to engage with new perspectives, consider the responsibilities that accompany technological progress, and take part in conversations that extend beyond the boundaries of computer science.
All Dean’s Lecture Series events are free and open to the public.
