Brian Krusell

Brian Krusell (pronounced "Crew-Sell") is the Director of CICS Careers. He is responsible for the career education of undergraduate and graduate computer science and informatics students and alumni. 

Brian promotes a design thinking approach to experiential learning, facilitating student exploration through internships, projects, mentorship, research and more. His background as a management consultant working in numerous industries guides the team's data-driven employer relations strategy. He partners with employers, alumni, faculty, and staff to support students as they build their professional network. 

Besides leading CICS Careers, Brian is dedicated to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship at UMass Amherst. He is also a part of the Public Interest Technology (PIT) initiative, focused on computing for the common good. 

Brian earned degrees in economics and international studies from Dickinson College. He is a runner and a podcast enthusiast.
