A Fireside Chat on the Future of Integrated Learning
Content
As Artificial Intelligence reshapes every industry, higher education and employers have a unique opportunity—and responsibility—to prepare graduates for an increasingly dynamic workforce. At UMass Amherst, we are combining curriculum revision along with learning modes that connects academic experiences with industry engagement. Doing this not only gives students opportunities to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges but also experience the rapidly changing practice in industry. These opportunities are provided with internships, experiential learning, research opportunities, and co-curricular programs.
Join us for an engaging fireside chat exploring how universities and industry can collaborate—and alumni and friends can get involved—to develop AI-ready graduates who combine technical excellence with adaptability, leadership, and the human skills essential to innovation.
The evening will feature distinguished leaders from UMass Amherst, including Keith Marzullo, Dean of the Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences and Sanjay Raman, Dean of the Riccio College of Engineering, alongside faculty and industry executives, including our host Arvind Nithrakashyap '97 MS, Rubrik Co-founder and CTO, and Gopal Hegde ’97 MS, SiMa.ai Senior Vice President for Engineering and Operations, for a conversation on the future of integrated learning and the partnerships that will define the next generation of talent.
This event will include food and beverages, as well as ample opportunities to network with fellow alumni and friends before and after the Fireside Chat.
There is no cost to attend, though we invite you to consider making a gift to the Computer Sciences Experiential Learning Fund. Your generosity helps create life-changing opportunities for students through internships, research, and other hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for success. We look forward to welcoming you!
