Session Time: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm EST
Location: Lederle Graduate Research Center, Room A112

This session introduces both traditional artificial intelligence and generative AI using MATLAB. Through hands-on exercises, students will learn the fundamentals of building end‑to‑end AI workflows, including data preparation, model training, and evaluation. The session also demonstrates how generative AI can be incorporated into these workflows to enhance productivity, support experimentation, and accelerate AI development. By the end of this session, you will be able to:

  1. Understand and distinguish between traditional AI approaches (machine learning and deep learning) and generative AI, and identify where each fits within an AI workflow.
  2. Build foundational AI workflows in MATLAB, including data handling, model training, evaluation, and iteration through hands-on exercises.
  3. Incorporate generative AI into AI workflows to assist with development tasks such as workflow design, experimentation, and productivity enhancement.

💻Attendees must bring their own laptops. Set-up information will be shared at the start of the workshop.
⭐🍕Pizza and Drinks will be provided⭐
