Class of 2026 Degree Conferral Ceremonies
Each spring, UMass Amherst honors its graduating students with several university-wide Commencement ceremonies, from doctoral hooding to undergraduate degree conferrals. At these events, we come together to hear inspiring remarks from university leaders, welcome honored guests, applaud student speakers, and celebrate graduates as their degrees are conferred.
In addition to these university-hosted events, the Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences holds its own Senior Celebration—an opportunity for each CICS undergraduate to cross the stage and be recognized by name.

In the spotlight
The Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences will host its 2026 Senior Celebration on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Mullins Center.
This ceremony gives graduates the opportunity to be recognized individually by college faculty and administration. Each graduating student's name is read prior to the presentation of a University medal and a special farewell gift from the college.
