Lia Janeiro

Lia Janeiro is a Research Fellow and User Experience (UX) Designer at UMass Amherst, where she focuses on the psychological and human-centered aspects of thoughtful design. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation from the University of Tampa and a professional certificate in UX Design from General Assembly. With a background in motion graphics and web design, Lia has worked across a diverse range of industries, including tech startups, sports entertainment, and marketing agencies. Her work is driven by a passion for creating thoughtful, user-centered experiences, and she is particularly interested in expanding her expertise in the evolving field of AI-driven design. Outside of work, she enjoys painting, spending quality time with friends and family, and traveling to discover new cities.
