Seminar: Cecilia Mascolo (University of Cambridge, UK), Using Wearables and Audio for Fitness and Health Monitoring
Content
Speaker
Cecilia Mascolo (University of Cambridge, UK)
Abstract
I will describe the team's research in making use of wearable data and in particular audio for making sense of our fitness and health. I will discuss the challenges and the opportunities that arise in this domain and a number of case studies which include the use of sensors on smartphones as well as in "hearables" in a variety of health and fitness applications. The talk will span both device and sensing research as well as machine learning models applied to this type of data.
