Biography

Kevin Zheng is a research fellow and the community manager at the Initiative for Digital Public Infrastructure (iDPI), a research center that connects the School of Public Policy, Department of Communication, and the Manning College of Information and Computer Sciences. He is managing iDPI's Smalltown project, an experimental social network designed for small-scale civic discussions that seeks to promote diverse and inclusive public engagement. Previously, Kevin was selected by Princeton University's Center for Information Technology Policy to serve as a Public Interest Technology Fellow at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. 

Kevin received a BS in computer engineering and a BA with individual concentration in science, technology & society in 2022 from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
