Dr. Ke Yang got her Ph.D. degree from New York University in 2021. Prior to that, she received her B.E. and MS degree in 2012 and 2015, respectively, both from Beijing Technology and Business University in China. Her research centers around data management and machine learning, including algorithmic fairness, model explanation, and the social impact of the algorithms in data-driven systems. Her work has focused on designing mechanisms to mitigate undesirable outcomes of algorithmic systems and developing tools to apply these mechanisms in different scenarios.
