Big data analytics, learning and prediction algorithms and modeling, linear mixed models, geometric modeling, sub modular function optimization, game theory, macro economic modeling.

Biography

Swarna Reddy received her Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and Informatics from Belarusian State University in 1994.  From1995-1996 she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Belarusian State University. Starting 2000, she has been a research associate, adjunct research associate professor and adjunct professor of University of Montana. In 2012, she was a research scientist with Terra Echos, Inc., and starting 2013 she was an Operations Research Analyst with the Montana Department of Revenue of State of Montana. She modeled and helped update the existing models of state property taxes for the 2015 State Tax cycle. In 2015, she founded a software research and development company, SoftMath Analytics, LLC., and has been a director of the firm. She participated in various federal government business and industrial conferences and presented white papers. Starting Spring 2019, she is a Lecturer at UMass Amherst.  

Activities & Awards

Governors Performance ExcellencyAward, 2014and 2015:  Granted by the Governor of State of Montana for innovative modeling and implementation of state property taxes.

National Veterans Small Business Engagement (NVSBE) Conference Participation Award, 2016: Granted by US Veteran Administration for best proposal abstract, for procurement strategy of big data analytics for veteran health care administration.

MFLTS (Machine Foreign Language Translation Systems) Industry day participation award, 2017:  Granted by US DOD-Army for innovative white paper proposal by small business consortium.
