Neuro-Computation, Biologically-Inspired Computing, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Emergent Behavior from Complex System, Learning with Noisy Information, Parallel Computing.

Dr. Hazan's research projects focus on computation models of biologically inspired neuronal systems and their emergent behavior, such as biologically inspired independent nonlinear models that learn and adapt to their environment. He also worked on projects in data analysis of brain imaging, brain modeling of left and right hemispheres and a brain-computer interface using a close loop system on a cortical neuronal tissue.

Dr. Hazan holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Haifa (2014), M.Sc. in Computer Science from University of Haifa (2007), and B.A. in Exact Sciences from Ashkelon College and Bar-Ilan University (2003, magna cum laude). In 2014-2017 Dr. Hazan worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Network Biology Research Laboratories at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology where he developed a new experimental low cost platform for closed-loop interactions with a cortical neuronal network and machine learning that analyzed the activity in real time.
