Research

Professor Taneja studies the application of computing tools to measuring and managing infrastructure in the developed and developing world, including energy and building systems, but also transportation, water, and sanitation systems.

Biography

Ph.D. in Computer Science, University of California, Berkeley (2013); M.S. in Computer Science, University of California, Berkeley (2007); B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, The Ohio State University (2005). Professor Taneja joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2017, and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department. Prior to UMass, Professor Taneja led the Energy group at the IBM Research - Africa lab in Nairobi, Kenya, from 2013-2016.
