Congratulations to UMass Amherst College of Information and Computer Sciences (CICS) undergraduate students Alexandra Brandl '22, Serena Chan '21, Saicharan Dadireddy '22, Brijesh Vyas '24, and Renos Zabounidis '22, who recently received 2021 University of Massachusetts Amherst Alumni Association Awards.

Chan was selected to receive a Senior Leadership Award, which is presented to graduating seniors who have provided UMass Amherst with exceptional leadership skills throughout their time as a student. Their contributions can be recognized through participation in student organizations, campus jobs, academics, and community service.

Brandl, Dadireddy, and Zaboundis were selected for William F. Field Alumni Scholar Awards, which recognize third-year students of all majors for their academic success at UMass Amherst. Established in 1976, the program is named after William F. Field, the first dean of students at the university. Field is remembered for his overwhelming support of academic achievements along with being personally committed to discovering the best in each student.

Vyas is the recipient of a Life Members Internship Award, which was created by the Alumni Association to defray the costs of summer internships for UMass Amherst students. The program was designed to support the academic and career pursuits of commendable students from diverse campus populations whose records suggest that they will develop into alumni with admirable leadership qualities upon graduation.

We appreciate the Alumni Association's generous support for our students.
