Eight Graduating Seniors Honored for Outstanding Achievements at CICS

Eight graduating seniors have been chosen by the UMass Amherst College of Information and Computer Sciences (CICS) to receive 2021 Outstanding Undergraduate Achievement Awards, the college's highest honor given to undergraduates. This year's recipients, recognized for outstanding performance in the classroom and in the community, are informatics students Andrew Romasco and Vista Sohrab, and computer science students Rushiv Arora, Sattwik Das, Anushree Jana, Ryan Lee, Cody Richter, and Shreya Sawant.

"These students have exceeded expectations in their academic work, published research, advised and tutored their peers, and provided leadership for our student clubs and hackathons," says Arun Venkataramani, professor and chair of the undergraduate awards committee. "We're inspired to see such excellence from our students under such difficult circumstances."
