Dispute resolution workshop

Lee Osterweil, Lori Clarke, and Norman Sondheimer of the Computer Science Department, along with Legal Studies Professor Ethan Katsh, organized and hosted a workshop on "Dispute Resolution in a Connected Health Care World" in May in Washington, D.C., upon request by the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The workshop was aimed at anticipating the need and opportunities for online dispute resolution as electronic medical records, a high priority of the Obama administration, are implemented more widely. The workshop is part of a multi-year research collaboration between the National Center for Technology and Dispute Resolution and the Electronic Enterprise Institute, both based on campus.
