Women for UMass Amherst recently granted the CS Women Graduate group $6,000 to fund their travel scholarship. Women for UMass Amherst (WFUM) is a network of alumni that "promotes the advancement of campus programs that provide access, support, and opportunity for UMass Amherst students."

The donation continues the original grant gifted in 2016, which funded the creation of the CS Women Travel Grant program, and has since allowed CICS women to participate in conferences and workshops in the field, engage with their research community, make professional contacts, and find collaborators for future projects.

UMass Amherst CS Women was founded nearly 25 years ago by Professor Lori Clarke as a community to support and serve women faculty members and graduate students. The group "works closely with the faculty and staff of the College of Information and Computer Sciences to provide programs and services for our female-identified students," and today serves almost 100 graduate women.
