Postdoctoral Research Associate-Information & Computer Sciences

The College of Information and Computer Sciences at UMass Amherst seeks multiple outstanding, highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associates. Applications for Postdocs in all fields of the Information and Computer Sciences will be considered, however we are particularly interested in the various fields related to Data Science. Under exceptional circumstances, highly qualified candidates at other ranks (i.e. Sr. Postdoc) may receive consideration.
 

Requirements: 

* Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field.

* Capacity for excellent research, as demonstrated by publications and other professional activities, appropriate to the number of years in the field.

* Expertise with programming languages appropriate to the specific field of study.

* Expertise with building and maintaining software systems.

* Familiarity with one or more specialized subareas of investigation within Computer Science.

* Ability to work with a minimal amount of supervision.

Rank and salary will be highly competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.  

 

Initial appointment will be for one year and may be renewable, contingent upon funding.
