The University of Massachusetts Amherst is a NSF Scholarship for Service (SFS) site.  In this program, students commit to taking a federal  job related specifically to security upon graduation in exchange for a scholarship covering tuition and other educational costs, as well as a salary, while enrolled at UMass. Employment at government agencies are full pay and benefits at any agency; e.g.,  FBI, CIA, Department of Justice, various National Labs, etc. By federal law, the program is open to only US citizens, and has a number of other special details. The program is suited for students that are at most two years from graduation, but anyone is welcome to attend the session planning for application in future years.

This information session will tell you about the program and its details. See also this web page: https://infosec.cs.umass.edu/sfs.

The presentation will be about 15 minutes, and then I'll answer any questions.

Undergraduate and graduate students can start the SFS program in Fall 2019 if they need at least two more semesters to graduate (but not more than four semesters).  The program is open to students enrolled in Computer Science BS, BA or MS program. Students from ECE, Math, or Isenberg degrees may also apply.
