Happy New Year and hope you all are enjoying the festive season and staying safe! We know that you all have been waiting a long time for the formation of the Global/Regional ICPC teams. So, the time has come to make the announcement as to how we are going about it! The first milestone is the Northeast North America Regional Contest on March 6. The top teams here will get a spot in NA Division Championships. The top teams in NA Division Championships proceed to North America Championship. The top teams in North America Championship book their place in the ICPC World Finals. More details will follow regarding this but the first goal is the Northeast North America Regional Contest on March 6. The good news is that we can have multiple teams. Each team comprises 3 people. In order to select members for the teams, we will be picking students who perform well in a practice contest on Kattis. Of course, the word 'well' is relative, so give it your best shot as we will be evaluating you NOT based on a cutoff score but how you compare with your peers.
All who are interested are requested to create an account on Kattis. Once you have created an account, register for 2020 NA Regionals Practice Contest 8 by clicking Join The Contest. This is going to take place on January 24, 2020 at 1 PM Eastern Time and it runs for 5 hours.
