21 Jul
Tuesday, 07/21/2020 4:00pm to 5:00pm
Virtual via Zoom
Diversity & Inclusion

Our departments have started having conversations about how to learn from anti-racism education and change our community to be more equitable and inclusive. While working to observe and change how racism affects our classrooms, offices, and research, we can also take the time to acknowledge racism within ourselves and others. Join us for reading and discussions about race and racism with the book "White Fragility: Why It's so Hard for White People to Talk About Race" by Robin DiAngelo. If you have joined previous White Fragility book clubs with us we welcome you to join again! If you have never read White Fragility or about anti-racism we also encourage you to join. This is a great book to begin with and to revisit no matter when you started.

If you would like to join, email Erika Dawson-Head or Emma Anderson.
