In the summer of 2020, our college--faculty, staff, and students--came together as a community to start the journey towards being a truly antiracist, equitable institution. We formed the Committee Against Racism and for Equity, CARE; discussed many areas in which progress was needed; and ultimately proposed and prioritized nine specific tasks for focus in the '20-'21 academic year. Several of the working groups met their goals, while others were intended to be ongoing and continue.

It is now time for us to think as a community about where we should focus our antiracism energies in the '21-'22 academic year. To kick things off, Dean Laura Haas will be holding an open forum to discuss opportunities and ideas on Friday, July 9, at 11 am. Please attend to help make this the community we all deserve--we need your ideas and participation.

To participate in this event, please obtain the Zoom information from advertisements on the CICS email lists; if you do not have access to this information and would like to participate, please email the CICS Events Office for assistance.
