Bioinformatics, Data Visualization, Multi-modal data integration, Data Warehousing of complex data
Professor Bloom's research is in the area of bioinformatics. Her current interests are in multi-modal data integration, analysis, and visualization of genomic and clinical data. A focus has been bringing the tools of data analysis to the genomic scientists and biologists without computational expertise, who are working with very large and complex genomic data sets.
